My name is Kemy Joseph; I am the winner of the John D. Chang $1,000. I am honored to be the recipient of this scholarship. I have read the stories about John and his accomplishments I and I believe that this scholarship has given me another step on my path to becoming a great person like John. Unlike John I graduated from Homestead Senior High and will be attending University of Miami. There I will double major in Motion pictures and Theater, so that I may one day become a movie director. Following the steps of John, I would like to use my talents to help others. I hope to one day become part of such a big family like the Dallas Cowboys, and form life long friendships like John did. When I think about John I see the kind of life I want to live, a life of smiles, a life of family and friends, and a life of kindness. Thus I thank the John D. Chang Foundation for their help with my future, and I will do all in my power to live up to the memory of John D. Chang
